Capital
Capital acts as a guiding force throughout the world, shaping whatever it comes into contact with in its own image. It imposes its ontology upon whatever it can get its hands on, and uses those second-order objects to further its influence in areas that are hard to reach for capital directly. Capital imposes an ideology of improvement, "efficiency", and the isolated and atomised "self" upon all facets of our lives. It imposes itself as the only alternative, claiming that there is no other way than this efficiency-making. If there are obvious alternatives in whatever situation that capital finds itself in, its second-order objects will further the claim that all of the other options are somehow bad, it imposes its will. When its will has been imposed, a forgetting is imposed. Alternatives to capital, regardless if they exist or not, are forcefully forgotten.
