How can someone like me, develop philosophical ideas? What is the purpose of getting into philosophy? It seems to be a brutal process, trying to get into PhD position seems realistic, however anything after that is all but guaranteed for failure unless you go to china (and suck up to the CCP). Studying phenomenology, or anything really that doesn't guarantee financial benifit, seems like dommed to failure. I wish to explore the structure of experience, I wish to relegate myself to the complete study of something specific, however it isn't available for me ath this moment in time.
